meet naomi

I grew up in Richmond, VA after being adopted from China when I was a baby. From a very young age, I knew that I wanted to end up in the creative field, however, figuring out exactly which field was tricky. My dreams moved from fashion design to architecture, wanting to illustrate children’s books (still a dream!), to considering studying photography in undergrad. Instead, I ended up getting my B.F.A in Graphic Design from VCUarts in 2015. The following summer, I went back to school for my M.S. with a focus in UX/UI Design from the VCU Brandcenter. While my degrees house me in the digital world, you’ll also find I have a love for creating with my hands (like leatherwork and painting!). I have curated my book to showcase a variety of interests of mine and like to believe I fall into the saying: A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
